Verified ReviewerDispute resolution for being charged when payment was not renewed
I have exhausted all the possibilities to cancel my Wix subscription by following their online instructions. I didnt renew my payment method as their instructions stated to do to cancel a subscription.
They still went ahead and charged my credit card $378.00 for a Website that I no longer use since I stopped using it. See screenshots below of all efforts. They previously charged $91.00 for my business email, I contested it they refunded the payment and I no longer have access to the email.
Thats proof that they knew That I wanted to cancel the subscription. I have attached screenshots of our conversations.

They are still charging us for a service which we cannot access, We have two step verification code sent to our old mobile number yet despite us jumping through hoops they will not accept our new number.

When I setup simplifiedhomeprojects.com I NEVER used an email as jkilber@***.com -- some how several years back I was thinking of using wix, but did not and that email was still sitting there somewhere. That company was closed over a year and half and now that's an invalid email.
Right now I can't even log into my website simplifiedhomeprojects.com.
When I go to wix.com and I enter my email jkilberaz42@***.com it brings up ERROR -- FORBIDDEN 403 you don't have permission to view this page. PLEASE, I NEED HELP SO THAT I CAN PROCEED IN SETTING UP MY COMPANY.

I have a website on Wix. When I get a message through the inbox on the Wix app, it doesn't allow me to respond to my customer unless I have an email address and add them to an address list.
Why can't I just respond?
It was never like this until about 3-4 months ago. I don't think it's right to force me to gather info that isn't necessary, just to say thank you to a loyal customer, which is something I was to Wix, but no longer.

After establishing a web site for a subscribed price I was told the site was corrupted. I used WIX provided tool only and site diagnostics didn't indicate any problem.
I was told by a WIX referred "expert" that 3 packages of "tools" were available to uncorrupt the software. The software isn't mine. The "tools" were created by WIX but are not included in the subscription. They are sold by WIX after you subscribe.
Sounds like extortion to me. WIX never explained why the repair was my financial responsibility after all, I purchased a "secure, reliable" site, but I didn't get either. I was offered a low price but then forced to by "tools" to make the site operational.
The "experts" keep asking for more money to give my what I subscribed to have. WIX uses WISE which is a way to make payment, but the terms are extremely invasive.

Overcharging
I have a plan with that I started twelve years ago at $11.95 per month. Wix raised the price to 25.98 over the last year and a half stating that they have added new features, that I do not use or need. Customer service is a runaround.
I am seriously considering ending my subscription.

Try accountrecovery@***.com it’s the only email they reply to.
There was no customer service, apart from the AI chat, which wrongly sent me to Google to solve it.
I have been trying to cancel this over the past week as it was only a one-month trial which didn't lead to a single new client. However, my complaint is that I could not get it cancelled no matter how I tried and the information provided about this is non-existent.
Also, there is no complaint email address or online form? The feedback function on Wix website does not open (see screenshot 1). There is only a chat bot that couldn't answer my question no matter how I tried (see screenshot 2). They advised I take it up with Google Ads, who said I don't have an authorised email address registered (screenshot 3) !
Well, at least they have a service where you can send in a query form online. Now I am not even sure this email address is monitored.
Today I saw I was charged for the coming month. I need to cancel this immediately and refund.
I am aware of your policy and thats why I set myself a reminder last week to cancel it. I have really tried!

Non live customer service
It would be nice to speak to a live agent not an AI generated response. Understand everyone is interested in the margins which leads to less interaction with a live support person.

Can't reach anyone for assistance. Terrible customer service. I'm not sure why they make it so difficult to reach someone for help when they make it super easy for you to pay and for them to take your money.

WIX is a retail platform provider that offer a step by step set up for a secure Internet enterprise. WIX provides all of the tools and methods to be used to establish your site. I used those methods and tools to discover the site had security issues and a corrupt site that needed additional tools for an additional fee.
User's recommendation: They promised me a secure, reliable site and didn't deliver; can't be trusted. They don't respond to questions or prompts I am trying to get my money back and close the site. I don't recommend WIX.
