A year ago, I thought it would be fun to start an online blog using Wix.com. Well, I was distracted by a bunch of things over the last year, one being taking care of my elderly mom.

Anyway, today I reviewed my credit card statement and saw a $348 charge for Wix. I was flabbergasted. So, I logged into Wix, and sure enough, I was charged on November 1st. Today is November 23rd.

I contacted Wix via chat and requested a refund, which they denied. Apparently, my account was set to auto-renew. I get it, but I would much prefer a message that something is about to renew, giving me time to make a decision. At this point, I am out almost $350, and for nothing.

I don't have time to do a blog, I need to find full-time work, or add to my part-time jobs. There goes Christmas, the spending for the year is done.

It's a random 30% off summer sale for some women's clothing. I run a site about poker-related content! None of the WIX support helps me.

Company fixed the issue and I have been provided with apology. Wix is a terrible company.

What they did should be considered criminal. After dozens of "chats" phone calls and texts, over the course of a month - in addition to writing several negative reviews about them - they finally paid me.

I had a website with Wix.com and made previous payments of about $4.95 a month to keep. These payments were made through PayPal via autopay.
On July 4th, PayPal charged me $756.00.

This was some kind of renewal fee that had apparently tripled over the course of the 3 years I had the account.
I did not receive notice or a receipt prior to payment. It was completely unexpected.
The $756.00 was to be used to attend my dad's funeral in California, and now I can't afford to go. I am a disabled woman with a brain tumor.
I contacted Wix - which was not easy. They use AI Bots, and it's nearly impossible to reach someone.

They initially said they would not grant a refund, and that all payments are not refundable. However, they said they would make an exception. That would be good, right?
Except, all they've done is make excuses and drawn this out.
I contacted PayPal who denied my claim. They cited as evidence, that I "had a previous payment history" with the company.
I canceled my contract with Wix.com and I still have not received a refund.

They sent me a recent email that indicated they were not interested in helping me, and I should reach out to PayPal.
People, this is how the billionaire class treat us. What PayPal and Wix have done to me and my family is unforgivable.

As a small business, we face numerous challenges, and it is disheartening to think that a company would take advantage of enterprises like mine for profit. I want to emphasize that since the package was delivered, it has remained untouched. I did not create any website, use the email service, or engage with the package in any manner.

I also acknowledge that I have gone beyond the standard 14-day return policy. Wix have taken over $600 from my account without any warning whatsoever. When, within 2 weeks of this, I tried to cancel the policy said that I have to honour the next 2 years.

NOT ONE email or message regarding this. Don't remember doing an auto payment and don't use the site anymore. There is NO ONE to talk to or even send an email to message to. Only AI bot.

This website is basically a SCAM. Another big company preying on the small business owner.

I requested a refund for my yearly fee, as the amount they charged was not previously agreed upon.

I asked for a refund of $346 and requested a call back to discuss my account options.

They processed the refund and closed my account, which I did not ask for.

Now, I am trying to reach them to correct this error, but they only provide online bots for assistance. Additionally, they want to charge me a fee to speak with customer service. How can a company operate this way?
